Asheboro,
February 26 - 27, 2005
Wildlife Rehabilitators
of North Carolina invites rehabilitators and associated wildlife professionals
to attend its 3rd annual symposium. The symposium will be held at the
North Carolina Zoo's Education Center in Asheboro. The revised dates for
this year's sessions are February 26-27, 2005.
We invite you to participate
in this exciting event. We have planned an all-new selection of sessions
for this symposium. Included are sessions on methods of euthansia that
can be used by rehabilitators, enrichment ideas and veterinary terminology.
There will be basic sessions for beginners on formulas, formula preparation,
and fluid therapy. There are advanced topics on fecals and antibiotics,
and workshops on adminstering sub-Q fluids.
There are sessions planned on several species that we haven't covered
before: snakes, woodchucks, flying squirrels and herons. There are both
bird and mammal sessions on anatomy, a session on avian triage and a session
on the fawn rehab program.
In an effort to encourage even more people to attend this year, the registration
fee has been reduced. The $40 fee covers both the symposium registration
fee and your 2005 membership. We would like to see all members at the
symposium this year.
We hope that you will all join us in Asheboro. Check this website for
additional information as it becomes available. Don't miss out on the
opportunities that this symposium will provide for education, networking,
and fun!
