Registration covers all activities and events throughout the symposium. The sessions and workshops below are eligible for veterinary continuing education credit.
Vet techs may elect to take the beginner track for wildlife rehabilitators and/or take other sessions eligible for CE credit. A listing of sessions eligible for vet tech CE credit will be available in early January.

8:30-9:00   Rules & regulations for wildlife rehabilitation in North Carolina: what every veterinarian should know.

9:00-10:00   Reptile rehabilitation: management of traumatic injuries, assessment of prognosis & readiness for release.

10:30-11:30   Avian rehabilitation: management of traumatic injuries, assessment of prognosis & readiness for release.
Dr. Laurel Degernes (Associate Professor of Avian Medicine, NCSU-CVM) and Dr. Lauren Powers (Avian/Exotics Specialist at Carolina Veterinary Specialists, Huntersville, NC and Adjunct Assistant Professor of Avian Medicine, NCSU-CVM)

11:30-12:00   Native NC Mammal Rehabilitation: management of traumatic injuries, assessment of prognosis & readiness for release.
